UZK50Gi with Holo A, Extended Barrel and laser for extra range damage, C75 Auto with Suppressor and laser as a matching backup, and Deployable Shield as the default utility.
Why it works
Extended Barrel trades recoil control for extra damage at range: worth it since Thorn holds a static angle over her own Razorbloom Shells rather than sweeping for first contact. Holo A keeps peripheral vision clean, and the laser speeds up aiming down sights for closer trades. The C75 Auto mirrors it with the same Suppressor and laser for a consistent, quiet backup.
Who it is best for
Players who want Deployable Shield as the default utility: instant cover for holding the angle her shells are already covering, without exposing yourself.
Attachment roles: the laser aids aiming speed, the angled grip aids reload speed, and the horizontal grip aids movement speed. Ubisoft attachment rework. Check available options in game.

Put Thorn's loadout into practice
Place a Razorbloom where its trigger forces an awkward decision. Think about where an attacker can escape, which direction they will look, and whether a defender can contest that movement. A trap can help the defense without securing an elimination by itself.
Weapon and utility choices
The UZK50Gi provides an automatic primary for covering the trap's exit route. The M870 is a close-range commitment and places more responsibility on your secondary elsewhere. Barbed wire can complicate movement through a chosen approach; a shield instead needs a position, projectile protection and a way to leave.
A round plan
Choose the likely crossing, inspect the trap from the attacker's approach, and identify the escape route. Hold an angle that benefits from the forced movement without exposing yourself to both the entry and exit at once. Share the trigger location so teammates can interpret the cue.
A mistake to avoid
Putting the trap in a wide open room and expecting the attacker to remain beside it. The route out matters as much as the trigger point.
Try this with a teammate
Let a teammate cross the trap area and choose their own escape. Watch where they naturally move, then change your covering position. Repeat without firing to understand the movement before building a gunfight around it.
