R4-C with Flash Hider and laser for a controllable entry weapon, the 5.7 USG backing it up with a bigger magazine plus Muzzle Brake and laser, and Breach Charge over Claymore for the access it gives a team that has no dedicated vertical operator.

Why it works

The R4-C is built for winning first contact: Magnified A gives just enough reach to confirm a kill at range without slowing the swing to close range, and Flash Hider keeps the vertical climb controlled through the fast follow-up shots those entries demand. The 5.7 USG is the pick over the M45 MEUSOC for its larger magazine, which matters when a first engagement turns into a second before you can reload. Muzzle Brake and the laser attachment carry the same recoil control and aiming-speed benefit over to the backup weapon.

Who it is best for

Players who want Breach Charge as the default utility. It opens a full, safe entry hole in a soft wall from a distance (the same access a dedicated vertical operator would give the team), and it's more versatile than Claymore most rounds, since it creates a new line instead of just denying an angle behind you.

Attachment roles: the laser aids aiming speed, the angled grip aids reload speed, and the horizontal grip aids movement speed. Ubisoft attachment rework. Check available options in game.

Put Ash's loadout into practice

Use ranged soft destruction to create an entry your team can support. Decide what needs opening or removing before taking the first fight. Ash's breaching rounds do not replace a hard breacher for a reinforced wall.

Weapon and utility choices

Test the R4-C against the G36C in the same entry drill: transition from cover, find a target, fire a controlled burst and move back. Pick the weapon whose follow-up shots you can repeat. A secondary weapon should be comfortable enough to finish an interrupted fight, but switching to it is not a substitute for reloading safely when time allows.

A round plan

Ask for a drone view or gather one, identify the obstruction, then make the opening while a teammate is ready to cover or trade. Pause long enough to learn what the new opening exposes. Creating an entrance does not establish that the room beyond it is empty.

A mistake to avoid

Entering faster than your information and teammates can follow. A mechanically fast first player can still isolate themselves from every possible trade. Use the opening to create a team advantage rather than making it a mandatory solo sprint.

Try this with a teammate

Rehearse a two-player entry through a soft opening. The second player should be able to see the first player's next fight without standing in the same line of fire. If they cannot, slow the entry or choose another route.
