556XI with Compensator and laser for controlled holds at range, the ITA12S as a pocket shotgun for soft destruction, and Smoke Grenades to cover the breach and block sightlines onto the plant.

Why it works

Thermite's own charge already guarantees the reinforced opening, so the loadout is built for everything around it. Compensator on the 556XI rewards holding a controlled angle rather than sweeping for first contact, and the laser speeds up aiming down sights if someone closes the distance. The ITA12S is the real addition: as a pocket shotgun it destroys soft walls, floors and hatches and opens rotates on the spot, so Thermite can create his own secondary lines without waiting on a dedicated breacher, on top of the reinforced wall his own gadget already handles.

Who it is best for

Players who want Thermite doing more than standing next to a wall. Smoke Grenades cover the breach itself and block sightlines onto the plant, and the ITA12S turns every soft surface on the map (floors, hatches, rotates) into an entry point without spending a teammate's utility.

Attachment roles: the laser aids aiming speed, the angled grip aids reload speed, and the horizontal grip aids movement speed. Ubisoft attachment rework. Check available options in game.

Put Thermite's loadout into practice

Open a reinforced surface that gives the team a meaningful route or angle. Because deploying the exothermic charge brings you close to the wall, safe access and a covering teammate are part of the loadout plan. Successful destruction alone does not make the room beyond safe.

Weapon and utility choices

The 556xi supports rifle fights before and after the breach. The M1014 needs a deliberate close-range plan; do not choose it without accounting for the angle through the opening. Smoke and stun utility solve different problems: one obscures a view while the other supports pressure on a position. Neither substitutes for clearing the route.

A round plan

Agree on the wall, clear the approach and coordinate removal or disruption of denial. Deploy while a teammate watches the threat route, then get clear of the opening. Let information and crossfire decide the entry timing rather than having every attacker crowd the new breach.

A mistake to avoid

Taking an optional early duel with the team's only required breaching tool. If the plan depends on your charge, complete that job before accepting a fight that another teammate could take.

Try this with a teammate

Rehearse the breach with one teammate covering and another preparing the follow-up angle. After opening, name who watches each route. Repeat with denial still active so the team practises recognizing when to delay deployment.
